Man held in alleged attack on police officer, patrol car
A 23-year-old man was being held yesterday after allegedly attacking a police officer and damaging a patrol car.
The man allegedly punched and kicked a Honolulu police officer who had responded to a report of a disturbance at a Wai'anae area beach park at 7:05 p.m. Saturday.
After he was placed in the back of a patrol car, the man then allegedly kicked out a rear passenger window.
The officer was treated for minor injuries.
