The Honolulu-bound lanes of Pali Highway will be closed overnight beginning at 7 p.m. today for tunnel cleaning and maintenance.

The closure, from Castle Junction to Waokanaka Street, will remain in effect until 7 a.m. tomorrow, the state Department of Transportation said.
Honolulu-bound motorists are advised to use alternate routes such as the Likelike Highway and the H-3 Freeway and to allow for extra travel time. Only emergency vehicles and city and county buses will be allowed through the closure.
