Chef Eric Arbogast and partner D. K. Kodama (fresh from opening The Counter, the new burger joint in Kahala) have opened Cuatro in Kihei Town Center, which blithely blends Latin and Asian flavors in a casual atmosphere that's meant to be family friendly and reasonably priced.

The name, meaning "four" in Spanish, indicates the restaurant is meant "for everyone," said Arbogast in a press release.

Prices range from $7 for Latin-inspired vegetarian lumpia to $27 for the fish of the day and for an Asian-marinated steak with pilaf and house vegetables with chimichuri sauce. Most entrees are between $18 and $20 with sides. The 34-seat restaurant is open for happy hour from 4-6 p.m. with 25 percent off appetizers and cocktails and from 6-10 p.m. nightly for dinner.

Address: Kihei Town Center, down the mall from Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi bar; 808-879-1110.
