MILWAUKEE — Marquette basketball coach Buzz Williams has added some much-needed size to his 2009 recruiting class, securing a letter of intent from 7-foot-2 center Youssoupha Mbao (You-sof-ah M-bow) today.

Mbao is a native of Dakar, Senegal, and played for Stoneridge Prep in Simi Valley, Calif., last season. He averaged 13.4 points, 11.2 rebounds and six blocks per game.

With the addition of Mbao and highly regarded junior college transfer Darius Johnson-Odom, the Golden Eagles have a total of seven new players coming in next season.
