Hui Malama O Pupukea-Waimea will train volunteers to identify and count reef fish as part of the Makai Watch program, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sharks Cove Pupukea Marine Life Conservation District.

Participants will learn to recognize 12 reef fish through a short video and class prior to a snorkel dive to count fish.

Snorkel gear will be provided but people with equipment should bring their own, along with water and lunch.
