An information session on Leeward Community College's digital media programs takes place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today at the campus' GT 115.

The session will cover all digital media degree and certificate programs, as well as information on career options, the application process and financial aid. Participants can meet and talk with the faculty.

DMED instructor Daniel Boulos will offer a hands-on mini-course in animation as part of the session. Participants will work in the DMED labs and learn an introduction to Adobe Flash from Boulos, whose animation work at Pixar and Disney includes film credits on "The Little Mermaid" and "Beauty and the Beast."
