Running: Kipruto sets race record at Paris Marathon

PARIS — Vincent Kipruto has set a race record Sunday at the Paris Marathon, winning in 2 hours, 5 minutes, 47 seconds.
The 21-year-old Kenyan bettered the previous record of 2:06:33, set by Mike Rotich of Kenya in 2003.
Bazu Worka of Ethiopia was second in 2:06:15, and David Kiyeng of Kenya was third in 2:06:26.
Atsede Bayisa of Kenya won the woman's race in 2:24:42. Aselefech Mergia of Kenya was second and Christelle Daunay of France took third.
