Hockey: Bemidji State prepares for historic Frozen Four appearance

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State's men's hockey team will make a historic appearance in the NCAA's Frozen Four on Thursday, and the national media has picked up the story.
News of the Beavers' long-shot march through the tournament has appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, ESPN and The Associated Press.
BSU President Jon Quistgaard says the national attention has been positive and been really good for the school.
Quistgaard says he's been receiving e-mails from around the United States and Canada congratulating the team on its success.
The Beavers will next play Miami of Ohio in Washington, D.C.
The Beavers are the first 16 seed to advance to the semifinals since the field was expanded to 16 teams in 2002.
