LOS ANGELES — The docudrama series "Jockeys" will return for a second season this summer.
The show focuses on the lives of seven riders competing at Santa Anita racetrack. Animal Planet cable network says it has ordered seven new hour-long episodes.
The show will add Garrett Gomez and Corey Nakatani to the stable of riders it follows. That group includes Hall of Famer Mike Smith, Chantal Sutherland, Kayla Stra, Alex Solis, Joe Talamo and Aaron Gryder.
Jon Court will depart in the first episode of the new season when he moves to Kentucky to ride.
More than 9.2 million viewers watched the show's initial run of 30-minute episodes, which ended March 13.
