NFL: Chiefs' Huard could start Sunday against Broncos

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Chiefs coach Herm Edwards says he's "leaning" toward starting veteran quarterback Damon Huard against Denver on Sunday.
Huard came into Kansas City's opener against New England after starter Brody Croyle was hurt and almost led the Chiefs to an upset in a 17-10 loss to the Patriots.
Huard started against Oakland in Kansas City's second game before being pulled early for second-year pro Tyler Thigpen in a 23-8 loss. Thigpen started the next week against Atlanta and threw three interceptions in a 38-14 loss.
Huard was 5-3 in 2006 after replacing injured starter Trent Green.
