Women's festival at convention center slated for Oct. 10-11

A two-day Women's World Festival featuring workshops, talks and entertainment, will be Oct. 10-11 at the Hawaii Convention Center.
Areas to be covered include martial arts and self-defense techniques, public speaking, drawing, music recording and copyrighting, cosmetics, self-publishing, cooking and voice techniques.
There will also be cultural acts, music performances, and a silent auction for Hawaii Food Bank. On the second day of the festival will be a fashion show with 2 Couture and Kristian Lei.
Tickets: $45 for both days, including fashion show ($12 for both days, without show, free for students under 21 with a paid adult), available at Ticketmaster outlets and through the Women of Our World office.
