ALOHA UNITED WAY
Aloha United Way has announced recent new hires and promotions.
Maile Takashima was recently hired as marketing and communications coordinator, responsible for supporting marketing programs, coordinating special events and assisting with public relations and other communication and marketing initiatives.
AUW has also promoted Keoni Williams to assistant vice president of marketing and communications. He will be responsible for planning and coordinating public relations and media-related events, managing special events, advertising campaigns and Web site initiatives, as well as overseeing the production of Aloha United Way's newsletter.
DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY SERVICES
Diagnostic Laboratory Services Inc. has named Susan Krause as core lab manager. Previously, she was with Concord Hospital Laboratory in New Hampshire for 10 years, serving as technical operations manager for the past five years.
COMMUNICATIONS PACIFIC
Communications Pacific has promoted three key staff members:
Harriet Kirihara has been promoted to vice president and remains the head of the company's human resources office.
Jill Kamada has been promoted to director of account services.
Jennifer Veltri-Kirsch has been promoted to account supervisor, head of interactive services.
UNIVERSITY OF HAWAI'I-MANOA
The University of Hawai'i-Manoa College of Engineering has announced the appointment of Eric Matsunaga as director of marketing and public affairs. He will develop and implement strategic and tactical marketing services for the college and will serve as its spokesperson.
ASIAN & PACIFIC ISLANDER AMERICAN SCHOLARSHIP
The Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship has appointed Neil Horikoshi president and executive director. APIASF is the country's largest national organization devoted solely to providing scholarships for American students of Asian and Pacific island descent.
HUNT DEVELOPMENT GROUP
Hunt Development Group has hired Craig McGinnis as vice president. He will oversee The Waterfront at Pu'uloa, formerly the Iroquois Point Island Club, where he will be responsible for all development and asset management efforts. Prior to joining Hunt Development, he was vice president of Jones Lang LaSalle.
WOMEN'S FUND OF HAWAII
The Women's Fund of Hawaii has named Adria Alexa Estribou as executive director, responsible for the overall management of WFH. Most recently, she was grants administrator/grant writer at Oceanic Institute and associate director of the Pacific and Asian Affairs Council.
COLDWELL BANKER PACIFIC PROPERTIES
Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties has announced that Leon Mosher and DAVID SMITH, both of the company's Windward office, have been designated Previews Team members.
Coldwell Banker Previews International was established in 1933 and is designed to showcase the company's luxury property collection and the sales associates who excel in this marketplace.
HI-PACIFIC AIR CARGO
HI-Pacific Air Cargo has announced staff promotions in its Aloha Contract Services division.
Brian Lee has been named Honolulu station operations manager. He was a former ramp manager with Aloha Airlines. His responsibilities include managing and coordinating daily flight activity, training new staff and working with state and federal agencies to ensure the company meets regulatory standards.
Glenn Jinbo has been promoted to Honolulu station manager. His duties include employee training compliance.
Pamela Karsten-Diaz has been promoted to managing director of the Hawai'i region. She was formerly director of human resources and prior to that, also with Aloha Airlines.
Lehua Silva has been named Maui station manager. Her duties for Aloha Contract Services will be to take customer service and the overall division to the next level.
Also on Maui, Lisa Teshima has been promoted to customer service manager for the American Airlines contract. She was formerly guest service supervisor.
