Wine Festival on Saturday benefits Lupus Hawaii

Lupus Hawaii will celebrate its 19th annual Honolulu Wine Festival, "Imagine," on Saturday at the Sheraton Waikiki hotel. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Featuring a special VIP tasting by Chef Mavro, a wine tasting by master sommelier Roberto Viernes and live entertainment by Anita Hall, all proceeds from this annual event benefit Lupus Hawaii, a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization.
Tickets for this 21 and over event cost $150 and can be purchased online at www.lupushawaii.org.
Lupus is an autoimmune disease that affects between 270,000 and 1.5 million people in the United States. The disease affects both females and males, but is more prevalent in women of African, Asian, Hispanic, and Native American origin.
Lupus is most common in women of childbearing age. Worldwide, a conservative estimate states that more than 5 million people have lupus.
