Police investigating attempted murders in Waianae, Wahiawa

Attempted-murder charges are pending against three men arrested for two separate incidents in Wai'anae and Wahiawa.

Two men, ages 23 and 21, are suspects in the Wai'anae case in which a 29-year-old man was allegedly attacked Saturday at 6:41 a.m. while seated in a vehicle in a residential parking lot. The victim was threatened and beaten by three men, one of whom fired shots from a rifle and also used the gun to beat him.

The victim suffered critical injuries.

The 23-year-old suspect was arrested for attempted second-degree murder, first-degree terroristic threatening and first-degree reckless endangering. He was arrested Sunday night at his Anaha Street residence.

The 21-year-old suspect was arrested Sunday at 5 p.m. and booked for attempted second-degree murder. Police are looking to arrest the third suspect.

In the Wahiawa case, a 30-year-old man is in police custody after he allegedly stabbed a man, 18, several times. He was arrested at 12:36 a.m. yesterday at Kamehameha Highway and Olive Avenue.
