Miami Dolphins wide rookie receiver Davone Bess, a University of Hawai'i alum, scored his first NFL touchdown when he caught a 7-yard scoring pass from Chad Pennington in the third quarter of a 27-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
It was Miami's only touchdown of the game. The Dolphins took the opening kickoff and drove 54 yards for a field goal by Dan Carpenter. They marched 56 yards in the second quarter, but stalled at the 8 and settled for another field goal.
Bess was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Dolphins in April.
