A man involved in a critical motorcycle crash in Kapolei Friday evening remained at The Queen's Medical Center today, Honolulu police reported.
The silver 2007 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was traveling east on Farrington Highway at an apparent high rate of speed about 6:37 p.m. when it struck the right curb, overturned and crashed 437 feet west of Kealanani Avenue — ejecting the cyclist, police said.
Although it is unknown whether alcohol was a factor in the accident, police said speed appears to have played a part. The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Queen's in critical condition, police said.
