NFL: Browns' Kellen Winslow remains hospitalized for undisclosed illness

Associated Press

BEREA, Ohio — Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow remains hospitalized with an undisclosed illness, making it more likely he won't play in Monday night's game against the New York Giants.

Winslow missed a fourth straight practice Saturday morning. He was admitted to the Cleveland Clinic on Thursday for tests and evaluation after feeling ill for several days.

Team spokeswoman Amy Palcic says it's unclear whether the Pro Bowler will spend Saturday night in the hospital. She says there's still a 50-50 chance Winslow will play Monday against the defending Super Bowl champions.

Winslow has undergone four knee surgeries and has had to play through pain throughout most of his four-year NFL career.

His illness is not believed to be related to any of his previous injuries.
