Kamehameha Highway between Kamananui Street and the Joseph Leong Bypass Road has reopened after a head-on car crash that occurred at about 12:45 p.m. yesterday.

Drivers of both cars were extricated from the vehicles at about 1:15 p.m., said HFD Capt. Terry Seelig.

A man in his 20s, in serious condition, and a woman in her 60s, in critical condition, were taken to a hospital, said Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the Honolulu Emergency Services Department.
