3 escape uninjured from Mililani fire

Three people escaped uninjured from a fire tonight that caused major damage to a four-bedroom Mililani home.
Firefighters responding to the 8:06 p.m. alarm at 95-245 Hoeu Place declared the fire under control at 8:30 p.m., said Honolulu Fire Department information officer Capt. Terry Seelig. The fire caused some damage to a neighboring home, Seelig said.
Firefighters determined the fire started from the rear of the home. Seelig said the home sustained substantial damage.
Cause of the fire is under investigation and damage estimates were not immediately available.
The Hawai'i Chapter of the American Red Cross is assisting the displaced victims.
