NFL: Seahawks add Williams, release Putzier

RENTON, Wash. — The Seattle Seahawks signed tackle Kyle Williams from their practice squad today and released veteran tight end Jeb Putzier.
The team promoted Williams before leaving for Thursday's game in Dallas. He is a second-year player from Southern California acquired by the Seahawks as a free agent in 2007.
Putzier signed with Seattle as a free agent from Houston last offseason. He was active for seven games for the Seahawks and had no catches while rookie tight end John Carlson emerged as a top receiving target.
