StarWish, a charity fund-raising group formed by employees of the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa, recently donated $1,500 to Lahainaluna High School.

The money was from the group's first annual Fall Festival of Wines fund-raiser, held Nov. 7 at the resort. Lindsay Knickelbein, president of StarWish, and committee members Joe Kowalski and Shandy Kana presented the donation to Lahainaluna principal Michael Nakano and Lindsay Ball, Department of Education complex area superintendent.

Throughout the year, StarWish organizes car washes, bake sales and other events to raise money for scholarships and donations to community groups.
