Prosecutors yesterday charged a 23-year-old man with possession of a pistol.

Anthony D. Perez, 23, of an Ala Wai address, was charged with first-degree theft in addition to firearm-related offenses. His bail is $15,000 pending an appearance today at District Court.

Perez allegedly was disarmed after a brief struggle by security at an 'Aiea nightclub Tuesday morning after patrons reported seeing a gun. Security took the handgun, escorted Perez from the club and called police. Perez was arrested at 98-115 Kaonohi St. at 4 a.m.
