Stabbing suspect charged with attempted murder
Prosecutors yesterday charged a Whitmore Village man in connection with a stabbing Saturday night.
Roberto Almazan, 31, of Aheahe Avenue, was charged with attempted second-degree murder. He was being held in lieu of $200,000 bail pending an initial appearance today at District Court. Almazan allegedly stabbed and slashed a 47-year-old man with a knife about 8:30 p.m. at a Whitmore Village location.
The victim suffered serious injuries, police said.
Almazan was arrested at an Ehoeho Avenue apartment in Whitmore Village at 9:10 p.m. Saturday.
