The Governor's East Hawai'i Community Advisory Council will be briefed Thursday on agricultural projects and some selected farmers' views on the future of agriculture in Hawa'i.

The briefing at 5:30 p.m. in the State Office Building's conference rooms A, B and C will include a discussion of how the state and community can support Big Island agriculture.

Richard Ha from Hamakua Springs Country Farm, and Susanne Friend and Tim Mann from Friendly Aquaponics will be the guest speakers. Both farms are using and developing sustainable hydroponic farming techniques.
