LOGAN, Utah — Gary Wilkinson scored 24 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds to help lead Utah State past Montana State-Northern, 71-50, tonight.

Wilkinson scored 14 of his points in the first half to lead the Aggies (1-0) into the break with a 35-25 lead.

Utah State led by as many as 28 points late in the game, shooting 56 percent from the field in the second half. The Lights (6-1) only hit 33 percent from the field in the second half. They took 22 3-point shots in the game and only made eight.

Tai Wesley added 13 points for the Aggies, while Travis Noble went 7-of-12 from the field to lead the Lights with 18 points.
