World Diabetes Day will be marked Friday with a mini-expo at noon in Tamarind Park focused on making healthy holiday choices and with a walk around Honolulu Hale at dusk to see city hall light up in blue.

The 2008 Hawaii World Diabetes Day Committee includes the American Diabetes Association of Hawaii, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, state Department of Health, Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals, Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Glaxo Smith Kline, Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Sweet Nothings and Walgreens.
