The Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs said it is extending cuts to securities and franchise filing fees for another year.

The 25 percent discount by its Business Registration Division are estimated to save more than $1.4 million for local businesses. The state said the fee reduction will bring operational revenues more in line with the operational cost of the division.
