Faith Rivera, Kaua'i-born singer heard on film soundtrack of the Judd Apatow comedy hit, "Forgetting Sarah Marshall,"will give a concert at 7 p.m. June 6 at Unity Church of Hawai'i, 3608 Diamond Head Circle.
The performance will feature tunes from her latest CD, "Maluhia," which combines a pop, folk and R&B flavor with a positive message of peace and empowerment.
Rivera is a long-time collaborator with Daniel Ho, the Grammy-winning producer, composer, singer, and instrumentalist, who also is heard on the "Sarah Marshall" CD. River's track is "These Boots Are Made for Walking," sung in Hawaiian with the band, Coconutz.
She recently was named the "Biggest Giver" by Humanity Unites Brilliance at the closing of the Awakening Your Brilliance Conference in Los Angeles, since she and her network of friends helped raise more than $15,000 in funds and resources in two days to help a family rent a home, explore job offers and acquire necessities ranging from clothing to furniture.
