Kaua'i police said a man escaped with an undisclosed amount of money after robbing a bank at the Kukui Grove Center today.

The man, described as 5-feet, 10-inches tall, in his 40s, and wearing a University of Hawai'i baseball cap, entered the First Hawaiian Bank branch about 11:40 a.m. and demanded money from a teller, police said.

He fled before mall security and police arrived.

No one was injured.
