Fujikawa struggles to final-round 80 in Japan golf tournament

Honolulu's Tadd Fujikawa struggled to an 8-over-par 80 Sunday in the final round of the Munsingwear Open KSB Cup at Tojigaoka Marine Hills Golf Club in Okayama, Japan.
The 17-year-old Moanalua High junior was in 66th place (out of 67 golfers) at 5-over 293 with several golfers yet to complete their rounds at the Japan Golf Tour Organization tournament.
Hideto Tanihara was at even par after 11 holes and 19 under overall and held a three-stroke lead Sunday.
Fujikawa's round Sunday included a quadruple-bogey 7 on the No. 7.
Starting on the back nine, Fujikawa had bogeys on the Nos. 15, 17 and 18 to make the turn at 3 over. After a birdie on the par-3 No. 3, he bogeyed the par-4 No. 6. The quadruple bogey on No. 7 put him at 7 over for the round. Fujikawa also bogeyed his final hole, the par-4 9th.
Fujikawa began the round tied for 39th at 3-under-par 213, 13 strokes behind the leader.
On Friday, Fujikawa made his third cut since turning pro last year and his second in a JGTO event.
