In an effort to address the recent layoffs on Molokai brought about by the closing of Molokai Ranch, the Maui County Office of Economic Development is hosting a series of workshops and sessions for residents of Molokai on basic entrepreneurial principles.

The first in the series will be held May 28 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Kuhao Business Center. "Creating Your Own Business on Molokai" will include five 45-minute breakout sessions by the various partners of the Center; participants can choose to attend any or all of the sessions, which will be offered every hour. Individualized counseling and other detailed workshops will be available.
