Kane'ohe's Dean Wilson shot a 3-under-par 69 today and finished tied for 10th at The Players Championship at the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

Sergio Garcia beat Paul Goydos on the first hole of a playoff for the victory. Both finished at 5-under 283. Wilson was at 290 and earned $218,500 for his first top-10 finish this season.

Wilson got to 5 under in today's round after birdies on Nos. 1, 2, 7, 12 and 16. But he finished with bogeys on the par-3 17th and par-4 18th.

Hawai'i's other PGA Tour member, Parker McLachlin, did not play in this week's tournament.
