Punahou beats Kamehameha for state water polo title
WAIPI'O — Aisha Price scored five goals to lead top-seeded Punahou to a 9-2 win over Kamehameha in this afternoon's championship game of the Local Motion Hawai'i High School Athletic Association state water polo championship at the Veterans' Memorial Aquatic Center.
Shayna Price and Brailey Hirose-Hulbert had two goals each for Punahou (11-0), which won the first two state tournament titles in 2004 and 2005, then didn't qualify for the last two state tournaments.
Ashlee Akeo and Nanea Fujiyama scored a goal each for Kamehameha (8-4).
