A man who appeared to be in his mid-20s was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition following a motorcycle crash in Waialua earlier this morning.

Emergency responders were sent to the intersection of Waialua Beach Road and Haleiwa Beach Road just prior to 1:40 a.m.

The motorcycle operator was found face down on the pavement following the crash and appeared to have a severe head injury, police said.
