South Kona power outage affects 4,000 customers

A tree falling on power lines knocked out power Thursday afternoon for about 75 minutes to 4,000 Hawaii Electric Light Co. customers in South Kona.
The outage was reported at 4:55 p.m. and power was restored to all customers at 6:12 p.m., said HELCO official Kevin Waltjen.
The outage affected customers from Holualoa to Honaunau, according to Waltjen.
