Workshop on how to be prepared for emergency
The Hawai'i Kai Lions Club will sponsor a free emergency preparedness education workshop for East Honolulu residents this weekend.
Hawai'i state Civil Defense, the Hawai'i Red Cross, the city Department of Emergency Management and Hawaiian Electric Co. will be among the agencies providing information on how to prepare for a disaster, including putting together an emergency checklist and supply kit.
The workshop will be in the Kaiser High School cafeteria at 511 Lunalilo Home Road from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. The session is free and no pre-registration is required. For more information, call 395-7787.
