Maui Prince Hotel, golf clubhouse get facelift

Advertiser Staff

The Maui Prince Hotel at Makena Resort has completed a multimillion dollar restoration of its guest rooms and golf clubhouse.

Designed by Hawai'i interior design firm Philpotts & Associates, the restoration "gives the guest rooms a stylish look and feel of understated elegance with strong Hawaiian overtones," according to a news release from the hotel.

As part of the re-design, the guest rooms have been refurnished with larger beds and new bedding, natural wood furniture, and new artwork.

The Makena Clubhouse received a new bar area, along with new furniture and carpeting. Comfort stations for Makena's North and South golf courses have also been renovated.

Located on Maui's southwest coastline, the 1,800-acre master-planned Makena Resort includes the 310-room beachfront Maui Prince Hotel, two 18-hole Robert Trent Jones, Jr.-designed golf courses, and approximately 1,300 acres of undeveloped land.
