Rabbi will speak on Jerusalem
Rabbi David Forman, visitation scholar at Temple Emanu-El, will be the featured speaker at a meeting of the Interfaith Open Table at 7 a.m. May 14 at First Unitarian Church.
His topic will be "Jerusalem — Holy City of Three Religions."
Forman, who has lived in Israel for 35 years, is active in human rights and peace movements. He was the founding chairman of the Jerusalem Council for Soviet Jewry (1973), was chairman of Interns for Peace (1984-1986) and founding chairman of Israeli Rabbis for Human Rights (1988-1992), on whose behalf he accepted the prestigious Knesset Peace Prize (1993).
He wrote "Over My Dead Body — Some Grave Questions for God," "Fifty Ways to be Jewish," "Jewish Schizophrenia in the Land of Israel" and "Israel — On Broadway; Diaspora, Off-Broadway: Jews in the New Millennium."

VIRGINIA ELLEN OFFERS WORKSHOP
Virginia Ellen, author of "Perfect Peace: Jesus' Way to Attain Peace" and "Sacred Heart Yoga: A Personal Resurrection Into Love," will offer a workshop from 1 to 5 p.m. May 10 at Unity Church of Hawaii.

2-DAY EVENT FOR HOLY GHOST FEAST
KULA, Maui — Kula's Catholic community will host a free feast and other festivities as part of its annual Holy Ghost Feast at the historical Holy Ghost Mission, 4300 Lower Kula Road.
The two-day event, which begins at 10 a.m. May 10, celebrates Pentecost and raises funds for Our Lady Queen of the Angels in Keokea, Holy Ghost Mission in Waiakoa, and St. James the Less Mission in 'Ulupalakua.
Entertainment includes Ben Uyetake, Maui Portuguese Cultural Club dancers and others. Mass of Pentecost is 5 p.m., followed by a procession led by the Holy Ghost Queen, followed by an auction from 6 to 9 p.m.
May 11 activities include a 9:30 a.m. Mass followed by the Pentecost procession, a meal (laulau, poi and sweet potatoes) will be served in four seatings starting at 11:30 a.m., and a livestock auction starting at 2:30 p.m. There will be food booths, games, a bouncing castle, baked goods and plant sales, and a farmers market.
