The Elite Sports Academy will hold an outrigger canoe paddling clinic, directed by Kalama Heine, May 18 at Sand Island Boat Harbor.

The clinic is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and for ages 6 to 18 at 10 Sand Island Parkway.

The clinic will include instruction in paddling, steering, rigging, paddling under different conditions, history and terminology and rules interpretation.

Each participant will compete in a mini-regatta and qualify to receive a free canoe paddle.

Cost is $75 if registered by May 14 and $90 after.
