The trade winds, fueled by a high pressure area north of the state, are expected to last through the weekend and into the start of the new week, the National Weather Service said.
Showers will favor windward and mauka areas.
An upper level low pressure area is expected to develop west of the island chain early next week and destabilize the air mass, leading to greater shower coverage and intensity, according to the forecast.
