Courtney Mathewson scored three goals to lift top-ranked UCLA to a 9-5 victory today over No. 4 Hawai'i in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation women's water polo match at Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.

UCLA is 22-0 and 8-0 in the MPSF. The Rainbow Wahine, who lost their second straight, are 13-5 and 6-2.

Angela Turnbull led the Rainbow Wahine with three goals. Kelly Mason and sophomore Leonie Van Der Molen scored one goal apiece. Freshman Serena Bredin had 10 saves.

UCLA broke a 3-all halftime lead with four goals in the third period.
