Minna Watanabe, a consistent scorer for St. Andrew's Priory, was named Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II Player of the Year after a recent vote of league coaches.
Watanabe, a 5-foot-6 junior, averaged about 15 points per game in helping the Pride come within one game of a Division II state tournament berth.
Watanabe is joined on the ILH Division II All-Star first team by Hawai'i Baptist's Narissa Fujii, St. Francis' Bryanna Batts, Hanalani's Jenelle Fetui, Maryknoll's Sam Chung and University High's Brittany Copp.
Fujii is a 5-3 junior, Batts a 5-5 senior, Fetui a 5-7 senior, Chung a 5-8 senior and Copp a 5-8 junior.
Chung helped the Spartans to an unbeaten (10-0) regular season and Fetui helped the Royals earn the school's first-ever state tournament berth in a team sport.
Batts and Copp also helped their teams reach the state tournament.
University's Bryan Nakamura and Maryknoll's Robert Samson shared Coach of the Year honors.
