Basketball, 8 a.m., CBS. The second round of the college tournament begins, with the field already down to 32. Today has four straight games. The specifics vary in each market.
OF NOTE
"World's Funniest Commercials: Hilarious Liaisons," 5 p.m., TBS. Here's a rerun of a quick, slick hour, with funny commercials about love and/or sex. A few have been shown in other specials. (A lover is hiding in a cabinet, for instance, when his cell phone rings.) Many are new, however, and some have the unrestrained glee of European commercials.
Skating, 9 a.m., ABC. If you don't want to see terribly tall men playing basketball all weekend, switch to some terribly tiny women on ice. Today brings the women's finals in the figure-skating World Championships, plus the men's short programs. The men's finals are tomorrow on ESPN.
"Ten Commandments" (1956), 6 p.m., ABC. This epic has Charlton Heston as Moses. Some people consider it a classic, but we find the dialogue and performances stiff.
"The Sound of Music" (1965), 7 p.m., ABC Family; or "Forrest Gump" (1994), 5 p.m., AMC. Choose between two popular classics. Each won a best-picture Oscar.
"Celebrity Apprentice," 7 p.m., NBC. In a change, NBC has a rerun of Thursday's episode. Donald Trump surprises the final four by calling them back for quick interviews. Then he trims to two; their two-hour finale is Thursday.
"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," 8 p.m., NBC. Erika Christensen, the troubled teen in "Traffic," plays a special agent. She works with Benson, trying to catch a serial killer.
"Law & Order," 9 p.m., NBC. A surgeon was killed in his hotel room. Was it merely mistaken identity?
"Saturday Night Live," 10:29 p.m., NBC. A rerun of the show's first post-strike episode. It's a fairly good one, with Tina Fey as host and Carrie Underwood as musical guest.
