Snowboard: Shaun White wins 3rd half-pipe title in row
STRATTON, Vt. — Shaun White won his third consecutive half-pipe title at the U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships today, executing a series of near-flawless runs.
White, a former Olympic gold medalist, scored an overall 91 to beat out up-and-comer Kevin Pearce, of Norwich, and Mason Aguirre, of Bishop, Minn.
Torah Bright took top honors in the women's division with an 84.17 score, besting three-time champion Kelly Clark.
