BYU-Hawaii tops Chaminade to reach regional final

Lucas Alves scored a game-high 18 points and Corey Nielson added 15 to lead seventh-seeded Brigham Young-Hawai'i past third-seeded Chaminade, 83-62, and into the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball West Region title game at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex in Anchorage, Alaska.
The Seasiders (20-7) will take on top-seeded Alaska Anchorage, which beat fifth-seeded Seattle Pacific, 56-55. The final is set for Monday at 5 p.m. Hawai'i time.
BYUH beat Chaminade, the Pacific West Conference champions, for the first time in four games this season.
Jeremy Brown scored 13 points for the Seasiders, while Paul Peterson had 10 points, seven assists and six rebounds.
