Neal Takara takes 1-stroke lead in State Amateur golf

Neal Takara shot a 4-over-par 76 today to hold on to a one-stroke lead after the second round of the Hawai'i State Amateur Stroke Play Championship at Pearl Country Club.
Takara was at 2-over 146. Yosuke Takeishi shot a 73 to move into a second-place tie with first-round co-leader Travis Toyama (77).
Konosuke Nakazato (76) and Chris Igawa (73) are at 148. David Saka (75), Jonathan Ota (76), Bradley Shigezawa (75) and Brandan Kop (74) are at 149.
The top 40 golfers and ties (158) advanced to the weekend. The final round is Sunday.
