Chicago, the band with Windy City roots, will return to the Islands for a pair of concerts in April.

The group, a Top 40 hit-making machine for five decades, will perform at 7 p.m. April 25 at the A&B Amphitheater at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center and at 7:30 p.m. April 26 at the Waikiki Shell in Honolulu.

Maui tickets — $46, $56 and $66 — will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Honolulu ticket details have not yet been announced, though sales likely will launch Saturday, too.

Chicago first started charting hits in the late 1960s. Its singles include "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?" "Color My World," "Make Me Smile," "25, or 6 to 4." "Beginnings," "Saturday In The Park," "Feelin' Stronger Every Day," "Just You 'N Me," "Hard To Say I'm Sorry" and "Wishing You Were Here."

The current lineup is: Robert Lamm, keyboards, vocals; Lee Loughnane, trumpet; James Pankow, trombone; Walt Parazaider, woodwinds; Bill Champlin, keyboards, guitar, vocals; Jason Scheff bass, vocals; Tris Imboden, drums; and Keith Howland, guitar.

Chicago also has teamed up with concert tours with Earth, Wind & Fire and The Doobie Brothers. A Doobies tour will relaunch this summer.

Chicago is heading to Hawai'i following an April 14-22 tour of Japan.
