Roy Sakuma, organizer of the Wednesday night "Starbucks Wildest Show in Town" serenades at the Honolulu Zoo, will have a collectible tee shirt when he performs his emerging signature tune, "I Am What I Am," at the finale tomorrow.
By popular demand, Sakuma — a widely known 'ukulele instructor and organizer of music festivals — has rushed out a keepsake shirt with "I Am What I Am" logo, to be unveiled tomorrow night.
"The song has really caught on, and we made a tee shirt because people have asked for one," said Sakuma.
They're available in kids and adult sizes for $15, proceeds of which go to community charities, said Sakuma.
Tomorrow night's program will feature "Roy Sakuma and Friends," with Alvin Okami, a onetime singer, joining the Friends part of the bill. Okami is proprietor of KoAloha 'Ukulele, who created and donated a $5,000 instrument that Sakuma now strums as he sings his "I Am What I Am" composition.
KoAloha ukes also will be give away at the show.
Doors open at 4:35 p.m., with entertainment from 6 p.m.
Donation: $2 at the door.
Information: 971-7171.
