Thirty-five middle school teachers from across the state will be taking part in a two-day training session of the latest sciences advances.

The training, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 to 4:30 p.m., is at the University of Hawai'i Manoa Campus Center, room 309.

The workshop is sponsored by UH Manoa's RET Hawaii (Research Experience for Teachers).

RET Hawai'i is a middle school outreach program managed by the Hawaii Center For Advanced Communications in the UH Manoa College of Engineering. This program supports middle school teachers, specifically utilizing wireless technology.

Support comes in the form of help developing classroom modules, training, laptops, probes, wireless setup and more. Currently 25 middle schools participate in this program on four islands.
