Waikiki robbery suspect caught, another flees

Police arrested the driver of a suspected getaway car involved in an early morning robbery in Waikiki and are looking for a second man.
The arrest of a 47-year-old Mililani man for investigation of second-degree robbery occurred on the 2800 block of Waialae Avenue at 4:12 a.m., about 40 minutes after a 24-year-old woman reported being robbed of her purse. The woman gave police the license number of the car used in the robbery which led to police stopping the vehicle.
The woman said a man seated in the front-passenger seat of the car pulled her purse away and knocked her down. The passenger in the car fled on foot from the arrest scene and is still at large.
Police allegedly found the woman's purse in the vehicle.
